Terms & conditions.

These terms cover the relationship between Boldtura and a customer commissioning plumbing or waterproofing work. They’re here so everyone is clear on what we owe each other.

1. How we agree on work

You commission work either by signing a written quote we’ve sent you, replying “confirmed” on WhatsApp to a written quote, or accepting verbally in front of one of our technicians on site (which is then recorded on the job sheet). All three count as agreement.

2. Pricing

Our quoted prices are inclusive of labour and standard parts but exclusive of SST where applicable. If we encounter unexpected conditions mid-job — corroded pipework behind a wall, a hidden floor trap, etc. — we’ll stop and discuss the variation before pricing it. We do not add unagreed costs to the final invoice.

3. Payment

For domestic work under RM 3,000 we usually invoice on completion with seven days to pay. For larger jobs (over RM 3,000) we may ask for a deposit on materials. Commercial work follows the standard 30-day NETT terms unless otherwise agreed in writing.

4. Access

You agree to give us reasonable access to the site at the agreed times. If we cannot start because access wasn’t arranged (security gate, building management permits) we may charge a small abortive visit fee — typically RM 80 — to cover the technician’s time.

5. Materials & substitutions

We prefer brand-name parts and tell you which brand on the quote. If a specific part is out of stock, we’ll propose a substitute and get your okay before installing it.

6. Workmanship warranty

  • Repairs & small fixes — six (6) months on the specific repair.
  • Installations of fixtures, water heaters and pipework — one (1) year on workmanship; manufacturer warranty applies separately to the unit.
  • Roof, balcony and bathroom waterproofing — five (5) years on workmanship, subject to reasonable maintenance.

The warranty covers our workmanship only. It does not cover damage caused by abnormal use, third-party modifications after our work, force majeure events or wear-and-tear.

7. Manufacturer warranty

Where you supply fixtures yourself, we install them in line with the manufacturer’s instructions but the unit warranty stays with the manufacturer.

8. Cancellation

You may cancel scheduled non-emergency work with 24 hours’ notice at no cost. Same-day cancellations and no-show appointments may incur an abortive visit fee.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent allowed by law, our total liability for any one job is limited to the value of that job. We carry public liability insurance for incidental damage during work — we’re happy to share a copy of the cover note on request.

10. Disputes

If something has gone wrong, please tell us first. Most issues are sorted with a return visit. If that doesn’t resolve it, disputes are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally. The version live on the website at the time you agree to a job is the version that applies.
